Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). They was moved to Oxfordshire when she was five and enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor by the age of six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing as well as dancing, and also acting. By the time she turned 10, she had already taken part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. The casting process began in 1999 for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having eight straight auditions. Emma's debut on screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in the year 2001. It also was the film that was most popular of 2001. The opening weekday and weekend ticket sales were record-breaking. Reviewers were awed by the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British newspaper, was awed by her for her exceptional performance. Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards for the film.
